Liner Notes

The album is a love letter to the romantasy shelf — encoded.

Eleven of the fifteen tracks code to a romantasy bestseller you probably already love. Three are originals from The Black Bond — Aurora’s own series claiming a shelf next to the books that taught her how to write. One track is a phantom. Listen for it.

Sonic lane: folk-pop, dark feminine, pop-rock fusion — sister to the cinematic dark-folk of The Black Bond Companion Album. Strings throughout. Theatrical drums at the peaks. The female vocal sits prominent. Listen straight through, in order.

A note on tracks 9 and 13 — they are the album’s captivity pair. Two heroines, two kings, two lies — one in silver, one in gold. Scored in the same key, the same tempo register, the same dark-pop chassis, because the trope they share is older than either book. When you feel the rhyme, you’re hearing romantasy state its captivity arc twice.

How to Play

Fifteen tracks. Fifteen letters. One passphrase.

Each of the fifteen tracks hides a single letter. The cipher lives in the bridge — same rule on every track. Read your fifteen letters in track order to find the passphrase.

Crack the cipher and enter it (case-insensitive, spaces optional) on the album quiz page. The reveal includes:

  • The full answer key — which track codes which book.
  • A free PDF first chapter of an upcoming Skarn Reachnovella that doesn’t exist on the shelf yet — the book one of these tracks codes.
  • Optional email confirmation so we can send you the launch link the day the novella drops.

The phantom track is the one you cannot solve to a real book. That is the design.

Tag @auroralyra with your guesses while you work it out.
